Lifts
- LUCAS
Our lifts are based on our linear floor axes and linear axes on pillars. In the vertical position, a safety brake is added. This product can lift loads and polyarticulated robots.
It can also be placed on a linear axis, thus creating a 2-axis system, ideal for use as a base for a stacker crane-style machine.

Cantilever gantry robots
- Cantilever gantry robots – 2 axes
- Cantilever gantry robots – 3 axes
Cantilever robots are an economic solution for applications that require the exploration of small three-dimensional spaces.
ECONOMICAL AND EFFECTIVE
Several robots can work on one gantry at the same time, whether collaboratively or to improve productivity.
They are ideal for moving heavy loads dynamically, quickly and precisely.
IDEAL FOR SMALL SPACES
Cantilever robots are an economic solution for applications that require the exploration of small three-dimensional spaces.
EASY TO MAINTAIN
The LUCAS multi-element design facilitates the transport and handling of long axes.
The beams may be extended through joining to another beam even after installation.
RCC2 : 2-AXIS CANTILEVER GANTRY ROBOTS - RCC2XY and RCC2 XZ
Characteristics 2-axis cantilever robots are especially suitable for carrying polyarticulated robots. In particular, they can transport robots inside cramped spaces (for welding vats, for example). They can also avoid structures that might normally prevent you from installing a 2-axis robot (structural pillars).
RCC3: 3-AXIS CANTILEVER GANTRY ROBOTS
Characteristics2-axis cantilever robots are especially suitable for carrying polyarticulated robots. In particular, they can transport robots inside cramped spaces (for welding vats, for example). They can also avoid structures that might normally prevent you from installing a 2-axis robot (structural pillars).
Like the 2-axis cantilever version, the 3-axis cantilever robot is ideal for carrying polyarticulated robots. But it can also act as a robot on its own when combined with the Lucas Control system. It is therefore suitable for palletisation and machine loading.
Please note: also available in ‘retractable arm’ version

Key points
- With our three-metre-long join system, 2-axis gantries are available to order in all sizes.
- Several vertical axes can work on one gantry at the same time, whether collaboratively or to improve productivity.
- They are ideal for moving heavy loads dynamically, quickly and precisely.

RC2-XY: XY 2-AXIS GANTRY ROBOTS
CharacteristicsXY configuration robots are the ideal way of combining gantry and polyarticulated kinematics. They can move over large surface areas.
RC2-XZ: XZ 2-AXIS GANTRY ROBOTS
CharacteristicsXZ configuration robots can move a load or a robot on the vertical and horizontal axes with separate tracks. This allows for easy integration when there are obstacles in the way of using a YZ 2-axis robot or when the load is too bulky for a cantilever configuration

- ALEP
- ALC
- ALI
Whether you are an automation engineer, a robot distributor or an integrator, Lucas’s technology and expertise in linear axes can help you conquer new markets,
INCREASED RANGE
Lucas linear axes (7th axis for robots) increase polyarticulated robots’ range so that they can carry out their activity over long distances.
PRECISE, QUICK AND DYNAMIC
The LUCAS range allows all the polyarticulated robots on the market to move precisely, quickly and dynamically. Several carriages can work on one rail at the same time, whether collaboratively or to improve productivity.
A RANGE OF OPTIONS
The beams may be extended through joining to another beam even after installation. There are various options available: robot chair, coupled carriage, ATEX version…
LINEAR AXES ON PILLARS
Characteristics
Linear axes on pillars increase your polyarticulated robots’ range, so that they can act over long distances.
Precise, quick and dynamic.
Key points
Thanks to the Lucas configuration tool, it is easy to choose the high axis (on pillars) you require.
We have already tried around one hundred robots to find out if they can be hung upside down (ceiling mounted), at 90 degrees (wall mounted) or the right way up. You will no longer have to read the builders’ technical sheets during your preliminary design to find our whether or not your robot can be suspended.
Lucas axes on pillars also offer a host of options that make them easy to integrate, such as leg offset (see configuration tool), cable carrier position, etc,
Compatible with all industrial robots on the market. See configuration tool
Models from the range
- ALE - High linear axes
- ALEP - Protected high linear axes
- ALCS - Standard wall mounted linear axes
- ALIS - Standard ceiling mounted linear axes

ALEP: PROTECTED HIGH LINEAR AXES
Key points
The ALEP Protected High Linear Axes combine the characteristics of axes on pillars and protected axes. They can be integrated into high production networks, such as aeronautical production lines, and facilitate work at height thanks to their walkability.
Compatible with all industrial robots on the market. See configuration tool

ALSS: STANDARD LINEAR FLOOR AXES
Characteristics Linear floor axes increase your polyarticulated robots’ range, so that they can act over long distances.
Precise, quick and dynamic.
Key points

Model from the range
- ALSS - Standard linear floor axis
ALSP: PROTECTED LINEAR FLOOR AXES
Characteristics
Protected/walkable axes, whether high (on pillars, like the ALEP model) or on the floor (ALSP model), are the product of Lucas’s vast experience in terms of ergonomics (walkability, sunken installation, etc.) and specific environments (aggressive, ATEX, etc.)
Key points
- Protected axes are the ideal solution when bellows are not enough. They ensure:
Protection of the axes against overspray in painting booths(see application) while limiting the contamination bellows generate.
What is more, they do not affect the air flow in painting booths thanks to their design, which is easily integrable into these booths (doghouse) - Protection of the axis against direct attacks during shot blasting (bellows would not last long in this case).
Perfect integration into a production line with sunken installation or integration into a superstructure.
